Ipl 2023, Two Teams Will Play Home Matches In Two Stadiums

A few days ago, the BCCI released the IPL Live Score 2023 schedule. In the season opener, the defending champions Gujarat Titans will face MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings. The grand opening match will be held at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.

The Indian Premier League will be returning to its home-and-away format for the first time since 2019. The league round will feature 14 matches between the teams, seven at home and seven at their home venue.

Two teams will host a home match this year for the first time at the league stage. Gujarat Titans will host the league match for the first time at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Lucknow Super Giants will also host other teams at Bharat Ratna Shree Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium.

Eight of the 10 teams will only play their league matches in the same venue. Two franchises, however, have chosen to play their home matches at two different venues. Their primary stadium will be home to five of the seven matches, while the secondary will host the other two.

1 Punjab Kings home venues IPL 2023 – Mohali and Dharamsala

Two venues will use by the Punjab Kings in the IPL season. The Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali will be their primary home ground. Five home games will play by the Punjab-based franchise.

The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium is their second home. The picturesque venue will be the IPL’s first return since 2013.

In previous seasons, the Punjab Kings used Indore’s Holkar Cricket Stadium in Cuttack and Cuttack’s Barabati Stadium in Cuttack as secondary venues. They have chosen to play their home matches in Mohali, Dharamsala this year. Two matches will play in Dharamsala against the Delhi Capitals (May 17th) and Rajasthan Royals (19 May 19th).

2 Rajasthan Royals Home Venues in IPL 2023 – Jaipur & Guwahati

The runners-up Rajasthan Royals, last season’s runners-up, have also chosen two other home venues in IPL2023. Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh Stadium will be their primary home ground. In 2019, Jaipur hosted its last IPL match.

Guwahati’s Barsapara Cricket Stadium is set to make its debut at IPL 2023. For the first time, the Indian Premier League will be visiting the northeastern part of the country. Rajasthan Royals had hoped to host two home matches in IPL 2020 at Guwahati. However, the tournament was moved to the UAE because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In IPL 2023 RR will play two home matches at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati. The matches will be against the Punjab Kings (April 5), and Delhi Capitals (8 April).
